Coaxial - A type of helicopter with two counter-rotating rotor blades, which does not require a tail rotor for directional control.  This is the easiest type of RC helicopter to fly, especially well suited for indoor flight.

DSM2 - A state-of-the-art digital (non-crystal) technology that links a hand-held transmitter to a RC model.

LiPo - (Lithium Polymer) A type of high-capacity battery used in RC models.

RC - Radio controlled.

Steampunk - An art movement characterized by Victorian, fantasy, and science fiction themes which include steam-powered anachronistic technology. While not described as such at the time, the writings of Jules Verne would be good examples of the style.

Swashplate - The part of a helicopter that translates stick input into changes in the pitch of the main rotor blades.
